Madison Area Company

R&D Chemist

A booming company in the Madison area is looking for an experienced R&D chemist to join their team on a permanent basis. This company is growing quickly and is looking for someone who can jump in and be up and running with little or no training. The right candidate must have R&D experience (3-5years) preferably in a chemistry setting, they must be independent, have a good working knowledge of the scientific process, and have a drive to succeed! Duties of this position would include but are not limited to:

  1. Design and implement studies to determine chemical and physical properties of technical materials
  2. Perform research to develop and improve existing products including upgrading product formulations.
  3. Provide chemical knowledge and assistance in the chemistry lab
  4. Work with biology personnel to test the effects of chemical processes
  5. Your first project on the job would involve finding a solvent substitution for Methylene-chloride!

Qualifications of the perfect candidate include a B.S. degree in Chemistry with 3-5 years experience in research and development. Upper level education candidates may also be considered. Experience with HPLC and GC a plus but not required.
