All instruction is included in the yearly membership fee.

Rating Categories

  • Basic Skippers rating: Qualifies you to Sign out and be Skipper on the Ynglings. You are only allowed to sail during the daytime and must have at least one crew member aboard. This is usually your first rating you will obtain.

  • Solo test: Required to sail by yourself

  • Night rating: Allows you to sail after dark. Note: No Overnight sailing.
  • Soling Rating:Required to sail the club's Solings.

  • Catalina Rating: Required to sail the Catalina-25 Cruisboat. An additional night rating is required to sail the cruiseboat after sunset

All newly rated skippers have to be recertified by the instruction chair at the beginning of the following season.
